Saturday May 4th, 10am-1pm
Chainstitch embroidery is one of the oldest and widely known stitches in existence. Examples have been found in Egypt on textiles from King Tut’s tomb. It also became popular in the 1940s, especially on western wear.
You will learn how to transfer your own original designs or provided designs, onto denim patches. The chain stitch is easily mastered and satisfying to do.

All supplies will be provided, along with a take home kit.

Meret Piderman holds BFA in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. She has been teaching textile arts for over 20 years in the USA and also while living in Italy.
